Macro Bird Photography.

It usually takes an expensive line-up of long range lenses to get started in bird photography. I’m speaking of those really long and heavy lenses I’ve been dreaming to have (and maybe you have been too). Luckily for me, this bird was sleeping too peacefully I was able to sneak onto to it and shoot it macro.

Amerasian Papa.

I played with the sliders on Lightroom with this one. This clearly shows my attempt to [borderline] hipsterize the photo. I wanted to incorporate my personal style of “high contrast+mid darks+high saturation” with the hipster effect of “low flat contrast + low saturation + split tone.” I think it turned out pretty well. What do you think?

Up Dharma Down’s Armi Millare

Caught Up Dharma Down performing at Route 196. The venue was jam-packed but the music made that irrelevant. It was the first time I’ve listened to the band live and it completely beats the digital record of the music I have any day. I’d pay to see the band play again. The sound was lovely and completely mesmerizing. Find them, witness the performance, and listen to their sound. You won’t regret it.

Refuge.

Took this shot a few weeks after Bagyong Sendong (Tropical Storm Washi) hit my homecity Cagayan de Oro. The girl above was one of the victims of the violent storm and I only assume she lost her house during the storm, as she was situated in an elementary school made refugee center.

I took these photographs December last year a few weeks after Bagyong Sendong (Tropical Storm Washi) hit Cagayan de Oro City. The children above are few of the many who lost their homes during the storm. The photo was taken at an elementary school made refugee camp.

Bram, did you shoot your latest photos with the 50 or 100 prime? I like them a lot. Miss you!
